The new Casio DT-X7 grip-type handheld terminal with integrated laser scanner was designed for the use in the retail, transportation and logistics industries.
After an intense pursuit of the ultimate in operability, especially for everyday retail tasks like checking receipt of goods, controlling inventory, and checking or changing prices, Casio has adopted the concept of human-centered design for interactive systems, based on the internationally recognized ISO 13407 standard.
The idea behind this light-weight terminal is that productivity is increased and that users don't suffer from strains due to uncomfortable repetitive actions with handpalms and fingers. Therefore, emphasis was put on a number of important features: ● Improved scanning performance ● Refined keyboard ● Designed for a natural fit in the hand ● Guidance by voice and sound ● Toughness in harsh conditions
