Morrisville State College, a State University of New York, recently announced the implementation by IBM and Meru Networks of the first ever campus-wide 802.11n network which will based on Meru Networks' revolutionary solution. This college, which has a nationwide reputation for its role as a technological pioneer, will thus enjoy the comfort of the fastest wireless network in the world! This truly is an inspiring story on a very near future proving Meru's absolute leadership in WLAN technology!
As it turned out that their current wireless technology was announced to be end-of-life, Morrisville decided for a new solution which would be meeting the demands for increased wireless performance and mobility. With its fouth generation WLAN architecture, Meru Networks offers just that. A total of 900 new Meru AP-300 Access Points will be installed on the university campus. Supporting the new 802.11n standard, they remain backward compatible with 802.11a, b and g. Even in environments with high user densities, users will be able to download e.g. an entire DVD in 30 seconds!
