IEEE 802.16d and 802.16e
The StarMAX broadband wireless access platform enables fixed, nomadic and mobile services based on IEEE 802.16d-2004 and 802.16e-2005 standards, and is positioned to help operators deliver highly competitive and innovative mobile broadband triple-play services for green field networks, or as an overlay onto existing services.
With major deployments worldwide amounting of over 10,000 base station sectors and 120,000 subscribers, the StarMAX 16d solution has one of the largest installed bases of any commercially available WiMAX platform today.
The StarMAX 16e portfolio of products is WiMAX Forum Network Working Group (NWG) Access Service Network (ASN) interoperable, with Quality of Service (QoS) and 802.1Q VLAN packet priority, supporting Voice over IP (VoIP), video and other multimedia applications.
