The Proxim ORiNOCO AP-8000 is an enterprise class AP supporting the all new 802.11n standard. This standard is currently approved and software upgrades from draft version 2 are available.
The AP-8000 is the first 802.11n access point that supports MIMO 3x3 operation within the standard 802.3af power requirements, even with dual radio! This eliminates the cost of additional power injectors to each AP. This is the first solution to support all radio combinations for 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
Dynamic Frequency Selection is supported globally in all 5GHz bands which eliminates the worry of network interoperability and interference.
